Aberdeen Kilt Kickers was the first American Square Dance Club in Scotland, founded in 1986 by an American oilman called Dick Campbell. In the early days the club danced at his home, however as dancers grew in number, the club moved to the Stoneywood Paper Mill Social Club, which unfortunately closed down in 2004, leaving AKK looking for a new home. After several false starts we have finally settled at the WRI Hall in Cults in Aberdeenís West End.

Several members of the Club are active in travelling to Square Dance events throughout the UK and abroad, recent venues include England, USA, Germany, Denmark, and France and of course there are regular visits to our old friends in Stavanger, Norway
